Raquel Mogado
Raquel "Blister Queen" Mogado is the first Filipina to complete the arduous long-distance thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, spanning from Mexico to Canada (4,265 km). She achieved the same feat on the challenging Arizona Trail (1,300 km), also becoming the first Filipina to do so, and the second Filipina to thru-hike the entire Colorado Trail (782 km). Recently, she conquered Turkey's longest trail, the Lycian Way, covering a distance of 500 km. In 2023, she was named Most Adventurous Traveler by the Philippine Global Explorers, a distinguished group of Filipino travelers worldwide.
With over a decade of adventuresome exploits, Raquel has explored remote mountain hideaways in various corners of the world, including the less traveled paths of Zanskar, Kashmir, Oman, the High Pamirs, the Himalayas, the Andes, Patagonia, and other destinations that require traversing on foot.
Her upcoming treks include a challenging circuit trek to the third-highest mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga, in a remote part of Eastern Nepal, Japan's Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, and a traverse of the Peaks of the Balkans high route, among many other exciting adventures.
When she's not trekking, Raquel finds solace in a different kind of journey—within the confines of her room—where she engages in painting or collaborates with clients in the dynamic realms of digital marketing and design.
