I have had my umbrella for a few weeks now and I have loved using it. I am a dog walker and it’s been incredibly helpful in managing temperatures while out walking in the heat of the day. I also recently (today) got stranded in the airport during the Outage and it came incredibly in handy for shielding me from the bright lights while I attempted to sleep on airport chairs! It’s so lightweight and the perfect size for a carryon, I’ll be hard pressed to leave it home when I travel again!
If you can’t find shade during heat advisory this thing will be your best friend. Two days on a river during heat advisory and this was easily the favorite piece of gear. The carbon fiber one is so light you get no fatigue from holding it.
I’m new to using an umbrella, it is a bit cooler than wearing a hat. But holding it, I really didn’t want other hand using my trekking pole, so a bit of a limitation there. And, even the slightest breeze of course catches it. That said, if you decide to use a trekking umbrella, this is the one. I had tried a different brand, but it was way too heavy to be practical.
The umbrella is sturdy but incredibly lightweight for those concerned with ounces! The handle is very comfortable and easier to hold on to when hiking in rain than the one I owned before. The fabric is sturdy and feels like it will hold up well! Very happy with this birthday gift for my daughter!
I don’t wear hats unless absolutely necessary. This lightweight umbrella is perfect for me in rain AND especially shine. Made well and super light.
