"We couldn't be more thrilled that Six Moon Designs has named their beautiful new tent after this incredible wild place and for the support they have pledged to help secure a better future for the Owyhee."
- Lace Thornberg, Communications Manager, Oregon Natural Desert Association
In 2018 I had the honor of getting to thru-hike the Oregon Desert Trail - one of the most remote and wild routes I have ever explored. Ask any ODT hiker what their favorite parts of the trail were, and the Owyhee Canyonlands are generally at the top of the list. The Owyhee Canyonlands, located in Southeastern Oregon, is one of the most remote and wild places in the lower 48. This traditional land of the Northern Paiute, Bannock and Shoshone tribes contain areas that are considered sacred. The landscape looks the same today as it has for millennia.
Naming our newest shelter after this amazing place in the state that Six Moon Designs calls home, just feels right. As our way of helping to continue protecting the Owyhee for generations to come Six Moon Designs is giving $20 of each Wild Owyhee sold to ONDA (Oregon Natural Desert Association) to help them continue their work to protect this amazing area.
