Six Moon Designs wants to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the National Trails System Act by introducing a Merino Wool Shirt.
On October 2, 1968 President Lyndon Johnson signed into Law the National Trails System Act which designated the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail as National Scenic Trails.
We are offering this Merino Shirt to celebrate the National Trails Act. These shirts offer a relaxed fit but sizes run a little small especially in the women's sizes. We recommend sizing up 1 size from your normal t-shirt size for a comfortable fit. If a fitted fit is your thing, then take your normal size.
Soft feel, has held up after 6 or 7 washings. The shirts do run a full size small. A bit thin so best for a light base layer or a summer shirt.
Read the 2 reviews on the shirt and decided to go with the XL for myself and my Hubby since someone said to size up. When I received the shirts, I immediately thought how small they were. Six Moon Designs were awesome in that they exchanged the 3 shirts I ordered for larger sizes and I was only hit with an $8.00 shipping fee. If you want a very fitted shirt, go just one size up, if, like me, you want a bit of a looser fit, go 2 sizes up. If you're a bit *****, the girls will appreciate the breathing room. Received the new shirts this week and they are extremely comfortable and we plan on using them while hiking the AZT.
This shirt has quickly become one of my go-to hiking shirts. First, it's incredibly comfortable, both in how it feels on the skin and in the fit. Furthermore, merino wool is anti-microbial, so it keeps down the 'hiker smell', which is especially helpful on multi-day hikes. The fabric is breathable and I stayed cool, even on a desert hike with 90 degree temps and no shade. Plus, proceeds support the national scenic trail organizations. How great is that?! At this price, this 100% merino wool shirt is a bargain!
love the design. size up! i usually wear size small & had to swap for a medium.
