CAROLINE "KARAOKE" HINCHLIFF
Born in California, raised in Washington, and educated in Oregon, Caroline is a west coast native. She went on her first backpacking trip in 2013 and loved it so much, she decided to hike 2,000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail the following summer. It was an epic adventure that truly changed her perspective on health, happiness, and what really matters in this life. It wasn't long before she left her city life behind and relocated to a small mountain town in the Columbia River Gorge.
In addition to being an avid hiker, Caroline is a holistic nutritionist, yoga teacher, and freelance writer. She is currently under contract with Moon Travel Guides researching and writing Drive and Hike: Pacific Crest Trail. Scheduled to publish in 2020, this is the guide to the ultimate PCT road trip, with recommendations for the best day hikes, campgrounds, restaurants, breweries, and more. As a reformed city person herself, she is passionate about making the wilderness more accessible and approachable for everyone. Through her company Eat Hike Love, Caroline leads women's hiking and backpacking retreats throughout the Pacific Northwest.
