38.8 oz - 1100g Ultralight Backpack

The Swift X is a modern take on a time-tested design. Over 10 years ago, we designed the Swift. Ten years later, we’ve added some modern upgrades to create the Swift X. Constructed from lightweight, durable fabric, the Swift X joins our premium Zero-G line. This ultralight backpack’s simple, modular design means it easily configures to become your perfect pack for any adventure, be it a quick overnight trip or a calendar year triple crown.

Overview

The Swift X is designed to be lightweight, durable, and comfortable. Because we want the pack to be comfortable, the pack weight will vary depending on the configuration.

Configured as a Frame-less pack with Pack Bag and Shoulder Straps, The Swift X comes in at 27 oz. / 765 g.

In the Standard Configuration with added Stay and Hip Belt, and Flight Vest The Swift X weighs 38.8 oz. / 1100 g.

With the Vest Harness, you get additional stability in your load carrying and it brings the weight up to 40.2 oz. / 1151g.

Pack Organization

The Swift X provides ultimate functionality in a simple design. This ultralight backpack has a single roll-top main compartment that holds 41L with an additional 10L extension collar. A Y-strap secures the load top and provides a convenient and easy attachment point for a bear barrel.

Intentionally designed, the Swift X gives you easy access to snacks, your phone, maps, and all those little things you need to keep close at hand. You’ll find you won’t even have the need to take the pack off until you hit camp at the end of the day.

The side water bottle pockets are made from 4-way stretch woven mesh. They are designed so that you can grab items easily while on the go.

Inside the main compartment, there is a zippered pocket for your wallet to keep it safe and secure and easy to access at the first sign of a burger joint.

Versatility

The Swift X comes in a variety of configurations, so you can get the perfect fit for you and your needs. You can choose from a standard shoulder harness or vest harness. Each come in 2 sizes.

The Swift X also comes with a removable hip belt available in 3 sizes.

Between the adjustable torso length, removable hip belt, harness options, and removable Delrin Hoop Stay, The Swift X can be dialed in to your exact preferences. Each configuration ultimately changes the weight of the pack from 27 oz. at its lightest to 40 oz. at its heaviest.

While the material used in the Swift X is waterproof the, packs themselves are not water tight. We recommend using a 50L Pack Liner.

Swift X Hiking Backpack

Hi, I loved the concept of vest harness.
But to be honnest I'm very disappointed by the Swift X Hiking Backpack... After several tests, I have tried everything ! I also switched from the jacket to the harness, I also bought a belt one size smaller to reduce the load on the shoulders as much as possible. But nothing helps, my shoulders are destroyed after a few hours of walking with a bag weighing 32 pounds or less. I think the frame is not rigid enough and the weight is not distributed sufficiently across my belt. Do you have an aluminium frame, more rigid?
Best regards
Bruno Tanqueray

That Waist Belt!

I've been using this pack daily for the last few weeks on the Camino and the only flaw is that the waist belt chaffs because it doesn't have enough cushion. That should be fixed in the next go round.

wonderful customer service

I ordered the wrong size S-harness large, and it's too big for me. I am 5'8 female. they are very communicative and fast shipping to replace correct size small harness. It fits nicely.

My initial excitement is high! I have an ICD and traditional pack straps apply pressure on my device. They get very uncomfortable and sometimes painful depending on how much is in the pack. The Swift X with the flight vest completely corrects this! I am anxious to log some miles with this new setup.

Swift X - First Thoughts

Purchased the Swift X when it went on sale a couple of weeks ago. Bought with the flight vest and belt. I was a little apprehensive to purchase without trying on but figured I could return. Was also worried about the flight vest as I had read it might be uncomfortable for people with larger chests and I'm pretty barrel chested but knew I could return if needed. I put it on and was immediately blown away by how comfortable it was without even dialing it in. For the life of me, I can not figure out why other pack companies are not using a running style vest. There is absolutely zero pinch under my arms, which is common on other pack I have tried. The best way to describe it is that it hugs you. I loaded it up to about 20 pounds and went for a 3-4 mile walk and it felt great. Looking forward to getting out on the trail with it. A few very small items that I would like to see addressed - #1 - Shock cord on the front would be a nice added feature. Easy enough to add, but I think most buyers would appreciate. #2 - The water bottle pockets on the vest are not super functional without the bottle pressing into your chest when the pack is loaded. However, I am sure I will find another use for these pockets. #3 - A small instruction book would be nice as there are a lot of buckles on and adjustment straps that you need to figure out where they go. #4 - Would like to be able to remove the "Y" strap without cutting it. I don't intend to carry a bear cannister or lash anything to the top so it would be great if it could be removed easily and stashed for when needed. (I like a clean pack with minimal extra straps.) Mostly just picky stuff but overall I could not be happier and despite these small issues I am more than confident with giving this pack 5 stars.
