I thought that using an umbrella while hiking was ridiculous....until I used this one. I spent three days doing day hikes in the canyons at Death Valley National Park. This umbrella saved me! The shade on my head allowed me to not wear a hat, and it was much cooler. Two weeks later when I returned to the Seattle area, I was hiking in the rain. The umbrella turned a miserable wet hike into a pleasant stroll in the forest. It is ultralight and folds to a very compact size. I will be carrying it in my day pack from now on.
Really like it. Worth the money
Very light, and packs very small, yet opens to be surprisingly large.
I love my umbrella. I was able to hike under a hot day. I didn’t get sick from the sun. It’s super light and easy to maneuver.
I just finished a 7 day walk around the island of O'ahu and ended up on Ka'ena Pt. during the hottest part of the day, direct sun, no shade, middle of summer. Thank goodness I had my Silver Shadow Mini! Honestly, it was a super game changer, and the part about it being at least 10 degrees cooler under the umbrella? It's true! It is lightweight, attaches easily to my pack, is easy to carry, and keeps the direct sun off my head and shoulders. Thanks Six Moon Designs!
