Six Moon Design's Polycro footprint is made from ultra strong and ultra light Polycro membrane. Designed for shrink wrap and frequently used as a second thermal layer for windows, this material is exceedingly rugged. While not as durable as Tyvek, it'll provide significant protection and weighs virtually nothing.
Be careful though, this material is so light, it'll blow away in a light breeze. So be sure to weight it down after you spread it out.
This Footprint comes two per pack. So you've got twice the protection

so far, other than trying to set it up on a windy day ( couple small rocks helped holding down the corners) I really like the durability and feather weight of this stuff!
Nice, lightweight, quick service!
It's polycro, so you know what you're getting! Having the 2 sheets precut and packaged, as well getting to support SMD, this is a good purchase. Lightweight. Durable if handled correctly. Will work for almost all the places you'll be setting up.
I absolutely love my new pack. The deep side and back pockets were exactly what I was looking for. My old pack had shallow side pockets and the water bottles would fall out when scrambling; therefore, the deep side pockets are perfect. And, the deep back stretchy back pocket is an added bonus. I love the weight of the pack. My old pack weighted almost 2 lbs and this one is so much lighter and allows me to hit my base weight of under 10 lbs. The best feature of this pack is that it can expand from the 25L to 34 L. This allows me to use as a day pack and a 3 night pack, easily. I tried very hard to make my old pack (20-24L) into a 3 night pack but it was just too tight. This pack that expands to the 34L is the right size to for those longer trips. Hats off to the designer of this pack. YOU NAILED IT!!! Now I need an under 2 lbs freestanding tent.
I just used the Polycro footprint on the AT and it held up well to the rocky surface. It is very lightweight and packs up small.
