Save money with the award-winning Lunar Solo tent – and buy more of the ultralight gear on your list.

With the Lunar Solo tent, sacrifice nothing but extra weight – ultralight, sturdy, weather-tight*, and comfortable. The unique hexagonal design and steep, sloping sides help deflect high winds and shed snow, keeping you safe from the elements. The spacious 26 sq. ft. living space and extra 8.5 sq. ft. vestibule means there’s plenty of room for you AND your gear (or your favorite 4-legged friend).

*To completely repel water, shelters need to have sealer applied to the seams before use.

*Shelters including a seam sealing service may not ship immediately.

Made with 100% Silicone-coated Polyester material to reduce fabric stretch and pack volume.

20D canopy and 40D floor keeps the Lunar Solo light but rugged.

6-in deep bathtub floor helps prevent splash back.

6-in mesh lining above the bathtub floor increases ventilation and keeps you further from the canopy walls, so you stay nice and dry.

26 sq. ft. of living space with a peak height of 49 inches – plenty of room for all kinds of seated tasks. Canopy creates an 8.5sq. ft. vestibule for added protection during storms.

Easily pitched with one adjustable trekking pole to 49 inch peak*.

Lunar Solo Backpacking Tent

I've only set it up once in my yard on top of rock hard soil of not-enough-rain Austin TX. Good practice for using rocks to "stake" tent. I got it up with no problem. I will work on fine tuning the tensions. I will have more to say after my 8 weeks on the PCT.

Great quality and awesome people

After I made a mistake while ordering, I called the company and got connected to a very nice person. They immediately sorted out all my problems and shipped the tent out early for me. It is a great quality tent that is perfect for all the backcountry trips I plan on taking these next few years.

Great Lightweight Solo Tent

Tested this out in Yosemite with temperatures reaching low 40's at night. Easy to set up with one trekking pole. The guylines and stakes held really well with the strong winds. The tent stood firm and never blew over. Great ventilation as well. Love the weight and how small it can pack down. The bathtub is a bit slippery, so will have to figure out how to remedy that. Other than that, great lightweight solo tent.

Easy Set-up

I just purchased my Lunar Solo, and while I haven't had a chance to use it in the woods yet, I did set it up in my yard. Following the directions for the staking sequence, I had it laid out and staked in under a minute. Once I placed the pole in the pockets and stood the tent up, it only took a couple of quick adjustments to have the walls tight and smooth and the floor level. It was easy. I opted for the Tyvek ground sheet as well. I'm a shade over six feet, and I had no problem whatsoever stretching put inside, with plenty of extra space for my gear. The floor layout was actually larger than I expected. The only thing I noticed that I wish were different is the vestibule doesn't come down to the ground. I do think I could change the layout of the one stake for the vestibule guy line and probably get it to lay a little closer to the ground, but that's just me being nit-picky. All in all, this is a well made, super-light shelter.

Heck yeah!

I wish Six Moons had been around when I thru-hiked! The Lunar Solo weighs less than half of the tent that I carried on the AT, but still gives me more useful floor space and gear coverage. Not much use yet, but on the one rainy night I spent in it so far my gear and I both stayed dry, so I am looking forward to the two weeks I will use it at Philmont this summer. The price was great for a tent this light, and I appreciate that it is manufactured in the US.
