Quality Hiking Shirt

This is my first merino clothing purchase for hiking and based on my research, this was a good price to give merino a try. This particular shirt is soft and comfortable and while I haven't had a chance yet to really put it's moisture-wicking and smell repelling capabilities to the test, I'm sure it'll be great. At the very least, it will be as good as the synthetics I've been using and it's definitely more comfortable. This shirt does run small. I'm 5'4", about 135 lbs give or take depending on the day, and wear a 34DD or a 36D bra. My current measurements are 38-29-37. I normally wear a medium (and sometimes a small) but ordered a large in this shirt and it fits really well and is flattering. If, however, you're looking for something baggy, I'd size up at least two sizes or try the men's version which has a boxier cut.

High Quality Merino

I have used merino clothing exclusively during my 3.5 years of international backpacking travel. They work well while hiking in Patagonia (to keep you warm) they work well in the heat of Indonesia (they dry quickly and breathe well). I've used at least 6 different companies products and I would say that SMD's merino shirt is at the top of the list when it comes to quality and comfort. The shirt is light weight and well made. Love it!

Great Shirt - Well Worth the Price!

Heed to advice to size up as these shirts are definitely small. I bought two - an XL to wear now & a L in hopes I lose my Covid kilo - and they're well worth the price. Comfortable even in warm weather and oh-so-cozy! Because these are wool, they appear to keep my multi-day hike stinkiness in check. I'm tempted to purchase a couple more while they're available at this discount.
