What you see is what you get and what you need is what you get. These poles are incredibly light and sturdy. For reference, I purchased these to supplement trekking poles for the Lanshan 2 trekking pole tent. I use non adjustable BD trekking poles and have no desire to change that. These are a fantastic and incredibly affordable substitute. In regards to their rigidity, I was setting up my Lanshan 2 for the first time and staked it too tight. In my attempt to slip these poles, I put the. Under a bit too much pressure, gave it slack, removed the poles and they were dead straight like nothing ever happened. I'm so grateful there are small companies like SMD putting affordable and quality equipment Ike this out there.
Lastly, I appreciate the rubber foot on one end and the tapered on the other. Really aids in keeping my whole sleep system upright.
Aluminum poles were great! Light and strong....
Excellent quality thick wall aluminum, nice finish, great tension on the high quality retention rope and breaks down small enough to put in my day pack for an overnight lean to camp out. Makes for my perfect fat tire recumbent trike flag poles. When I don’t need them up I can collapse them and use some Velcro to secure them
THANKS SIX MOONS!!
Used the 49" aluminum pole to leave my Lunar Solo set up at a RMNP high-country fly fishing basecamp for 4-days. This allowed me to use both my trekking poles to navigate the rough terrain.
Works great for pitching tarp cover, only thing that could make this better is if they had a small barrier at the top to keep the tarp from slipping down. Otherwise, works great and affordable!
